The City of Athens is offering its citizens an emergency high speed telephone notification system called CodeRED that will provide the City the ability to quickly deliver emergency messages to targeted areas.  The CodeRED Emergency Notification System is an ultra high-speed telephone communication service for emergency notifications.

This system allows us to telephone all or targeted areas of the City with critical communications, such as severe weather warnings, evacuation notices, hazardous chemical spills, missing child alerts, etc.  It will then deliver a pre-recorded message describing the situation.
